Today I pried again
into my blue memories
peering through the keyhole
into your restless clouds
eavesdropping on the wonderful chime
of our crazy love
and I wanted to watch
the end of our cartoon.
But no. They wouldn't let me.
They wouldnĺt let me.
Memories? Memories waited in ambush
and they ordered:
Go out!
And your clouds captured me,
purring, gently purring:
Come!
And reproached me for the cartoon:
What end? What end?
It hasn't been shot yet!
No, not yet!
And the chiming went on
Like magic so strong
Calling for me and love
Ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dongů
Grandma's Special Recipe
To make a magic cake
You have to take your chances:
A pound of sifted love,
Ten ounces of fond glances
Brilliant, bright and sparkling,
Add two more full ounces
Of tears laced with sugar
And many tiny grains of patience.
And kisses? Add them
According to your liking,
Carefully separating all
Encounters after waiting,
Then add a little more sighing:
Ooh-oh-oooh!
Coat with a sweet sauce of tenderness
And long-lasting crumbles of happiness.
As a final touch,
Sprinkle with finely powdered romance.
Stir gently
Bake shortly
And serve proudly.
And mind you:
It's a dessert made for two.
